“They are a world class side. But we have a good chance as we know the conditions better. All we need is to use our experience there to our advantage. We have a good Twenty20 side as well and if we play with sincerity we can win the series,” The Express Tribune quoted Afridi, as saying.
The former captain, who left the Sri Lankan Premier League (SLPL) midway to attend to his ailing wife, left on Sunday to join the team in Sharjah.
The all-rounder said the players” participation in SLPL would also prove to be helpful.
The three-match ODI series against Australia, beginning on August 28 in Sharjah, will be followed by three Twenty20s.
