Pak-India series a positive step towards peace: Imran Khan

Islamabad – Former Pakistani skipper Imran Khan on Tuesday termed Pakistan-India series taking place in December this year in India, as a positive step towards peace between both the countries.

Talking to newsmen here at Marghzar cricket ground at the opening ceremony of Mobilink Jazz Summer Cricket Camp 2012 for children organized by National Press Club which also attended by Manager PR Mobilink Jazz Ali Hussain Talib, Test Cricketer Yasir Hameed and others at Margzhar Cricket Ground Islamabad.

Imran hailed the PCB chairman and his counterpart’s efforts in resumption of the cricket ties between both the countries, adding that It is a great step in making relations better between Pakistan and India,” he said, who is also the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Praising NPC’s efforts for organizing sports activities for children, he said sports is a healthy activity as it makes everybody physically fit and makes a person mentally strong.
“A person should shouldn’t lose heart if he loses in a game instead he should learn from that and try again,” Imran said. He said that player succeeds in the game of cricket that learns from his mistake and rectifies it.

“When I was working for the making of Shaukat Khanum hospital, I had to go through many difficulties but it was cricket that didn’t let me tumble and I stood firm through the difficulties and succeeded in my plan,” he said.

Imran said a person who refuses to lose in the game or in life always succeeds. “A person with a strong willpower cannot lose in any game or in life,” he said.

Talking about politics, he said he is also positive that he will do well in politics as he himself refuses to lose in anything. “My party won’t join hands with any party in election who is sitting in the parliament,” he said adding that however Tsunami will join hands with those who will be out of the parliament. “On September 23 I will be going to Waziristan and along with the international media,” he said.Test cricketer Yasir Hameed was also present at the occasion. Cricketer Sohail Tanveer will be visiting the camp on Wednesday (today).
