Karachi : Leg-spinner Ali Shah captured a four-wicket haul to help defending champions Aga Khan Gymkhana (AKG) qualify for the semifinals of Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan Trophy with a narrow six-run win over Tapal Cricket Club here at AKG Ground on Thursday.
Batting first, AKG reached 163-6 with veteran opener Suleman Huda contributing a 30-ball 44 which was laced with five fours and one six. Kashif Bhatti claimed three for 28.
Tapal CC were bowled out for 157 on the last ball of the match despite a superb 81 (46 balls, seven fours and three sixes) from opener Zeeshan Jamil. Ali Shah hauled four wickets giving away 21 runs.
